1. To get a hotmail.au address, just go to Hotmail and click the Sign up button.

2. Then follow the usual steps you would when signing up for a Windows Live ID after selecting hotmail.com.au as your preferred domain.

If I change to Windows Live can I retain my current email address.

Trying to setup the hotmail.com.au address on the iphone - are the settings supposed to be pop3.live.com and smtp.live.com or is it different? Thanks

What hotmail domains can you get? I know that you can get hotmail.com, hotmail.com.au, hotmail.co.uk and live.com.au. But can you get live.com? I was just wondering. What other ones can you get? I use live.com.au

I think this is a great idea. I've had my hotmail address for a while now so I won't change but if you new to hotmail and messenger I think you should give it a try. I am still proud to be aussie even if I don't change my addy.

Hi, You cannot merge an old Hotmail account into a new Hotmail account with the domain .au However, using the pop3 feature you can create a new all-Australian account with a .au domain and then link it to your old account. To do this, follow the steps outlined in the Hotmail article titled Get it all in one inbox! Gabrielle

Is it possible to migrate an old address from hotmail.com to hotmail.com.au. This is what we all want,I have a lot of customers who use hotmail and they would of all chose an Au Domain if it was available. Users that have been loyal to hotmail should not have to sign-up for a new Name-I use this Hotmail for business & personal.
